You go through all the events he experiences, like stealing Misty's bike, then Pikachu and Charizard disobeying you. You catch all the Pokémon he does, because they've been scripted. Quest is nothing compared to Gray, because Ash Gray has better graphics, moving tiles, and the actual story. Both are hacks of Fire Red which let you follow Ash's footsteps just like the anime.
Pokémon Ash Gray is an amazing hack, which takes Pokémon Ash's Quest out of the competition. It can be good when you realize how much work the creator has put in, or bad if you're a poké-conservative who hates new Pokémon. A few moves were replaced with imaginary ones or newer generation moves with better animation. They also added some fourth and fifth generation Pokémon by replacing some old Pokémon. Hacking animations is extremely tough as you have to go through every single frame and change it for every single Pokémon. Pokémon Flora Sky has fourth generation graphics and hacked animations. Both have day/night cycles, but Pokémon Liquid Crystal has the best title screen out there. Never before have I seen a hacker try and hack the PokeDex. It has the PokeGear and a very, very accurate PokeDex. Crystal Dust has been finished and equipped with the Emerald animations that people love. Liquid Crystal also has the fourth generation's physical/special split and is highly addictive. Although Liquid Crystal looks fantastic and has an extended storyline, it often makes the game much lengthier than it should be. Pokémon Liquid Crystal and Pokémon Crystal Dust are two different hacks, both remakes of the second generation's Crystal. Audio hacking is a very shadowy area in hacking as it can damage your ROM somewhat. There exists three of these in their own little trilogy. It has Fakemons, which are not even that good, and a number of glitches. Pokémon Ruby Destiny has not been a particular favourite of mine. Haha, silly hackers, there are no Pokémon in Austrailia. And you play as an Australian that looks like Shaggy. However, the old Pokémon are replaced with newer Unova Pokémon. The amazing scripting creates a multitude of cutscenes in this marvellous hack. This looks great and has Pokémon from all five generations but the poor story and gameplay is a letdown.Īnother beautiful example is Pokémon Lilac. The third generation provides a multitude of hacks, usually with more colourful graphics than the original game. I hear you can travel to Brown's region later on. Prism is even better because you can mine for ores, change clothes, make jewellery (for no reason), adopt Pokémon, put your own Pokémon up for adoption, play as a Larvitar to taste rocks, side-scroll and explore the whole new world of Naljo.
The problem with Prism is that trading comes late in the game.
#Pokemon crystal dust gba rom download Patch
This patch brings in new Pokémon that were introduced after the second generation. Prism is the sequel to Pokémon Brown and this is where you apply the compatibility patch for trading. But there is Pokémon Prism, a heavily customised hack. The roster of second generation hacks is quite empty. There is also a remake of Brown called Rijon Adventures but Pokémon Brown is much better. But it actually has over 200 Pokémon (no Fakemons) and is trade-compatible with the second generation (if the required patch is applied). Many are misguided, thinking that it has something to do with Bidoof. The first generation only has Pokémon Brown which deserves high praise.
